Business As Usual Throughout Lock-down

A lot of changes have happened this week in Spain, following the announcement by The President of Government, Pedro Sanchez to lock-down Spain in order to contain the spread of the coronavirus, all non essential businesses are now closed and working from home.

Mortgage Matters Spain are open.

I, along with many other colleagues within the industry will be working from home for the next two weeks. However, my working hours will be unchanged from 10:00 until 18:00 and it will be business is as usual, to keep the processing of applications during this uncertain time. I shall be available on the office number and also my mobile, see below details. If any clients would prefer a face to face meeting, we can arrange a Skype meeting for your convenience.

Please be advised, all BANKS ARE OPEN. There will be less staff in the branches but they will be operating a normal service. The advantage will be with less traffic in the branches, more time will be available to do paperwork such as study current and new mortgage applications!

Property Valuers are still making visits to some properties to carry out the valuations, subject to the property being empty, thereby no close human contact. Estate agents are also working from home at this time, although they are not able to do viewings at this time. We are still able to do Agreements in Principle for clients even if they haven’t found a property yet. It’s a good opportunity to get the finance set up now, so all is ready for when things go back to normal and clients can come out and do viewings.

Notaries are still working, therefore completions are still happening. There will be less staff in their offices and more limited to urgent completions only, but what can be described as urgent will be dealt with.

Once again, these are unusual times but with the excellent network of professionals, banking staff and valuers I work with, together we can ensure as little disruption as possible to your application and processing.
